Introduction

I golf a lot. Unlike most golfers, I can't ever bring myself to spend the money on expensive golf balls. So it's time to put them to the test. I have nice clubs now (Nike Slingshots, Ram driver and woods). My gold game is pretty bad, but I will test to see if a ball can change my handicap. I will play 9 holes once a week, each time using a different ball for the entire round.

Went golfing five times, with 4 different golf balls

I went on vacation recently, which allowed me to do a lot of golfing, and put my thoughts to test. I went 5 times, and used 5 different balls. And there is a big difference in all 4 golf balls.

1. Dunlop 1

Like hitting a rock. Might have good distance, but was hard to control, especially out of the rough.

2. Titleist 5 Pro-v X

The champ. Didn't notice any amazing distance, but it was easy to control. Whether my lie was terrible or clean, it resulted in much better iron shots. Was also easier to putt with.

3. Callaway Big Bertha

Off the tee, I liked this ball the best. Could have been the day, but my slice didn't come into play as much, and I didn't go into any hazards. Used the same ball all day long. It was close to the titelist, but a bit chunkier.

4. Top Filte XL

Better than the dunlop, but only slightly. Seemed to damage easily, had to mulitple balls.
